Our Mission Field
Northwest Baptist Missions began by working in rural areas and areas dominated by Mormonism. While that is still the focus of most of our works, we are striving to develop openings in other fields in the western United States.
Rural
Throughout much of the western United States, there are still rural areas in need of the Gospel. Examples of this are our works in Colorado and Nevada. No matter the size of the community, there are people who need to hear a clear Gospel message.
Mormonism
Our works in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming are examples of churches being planted in areas dominated by Mormonism. Some of these churches are also small rural areas. For several of our churches, they are the only non-LDS church in town. It takes years of faithful service to bring even one soul to Christ. The work is hard and the opposition is great, but God is faithful.
Pacific Northwest
Washington, Oregon, and Northern California are areas that we would like to expand. Currently, we have only one missionary planting a church in this area. This area is multi-cultural and thus has many religions. Therefore, the need for Gospel preaching churches is great.
Native American
The west is dotted with Indian Reservations. These are often rural and there is much opposition. We have one mission church that is serving the people of the Yankton Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. The need is great for the Gospel to go to all the reservations.
As you can see, the need is great in the Western United States. Please consider how you can help the Gospel to be proclaimed to needy souls.
